CHILDHOOD ADVENTURES

HI EVERYONE AND WELCOME
to my blog .
today I am sharing another case file from CSI
case file #140

to go to CSI
I chose to go grungy this week and document a childhood adventure .
ANTIQUE
 EVIDENCE
polka dots, hearts, wet medium, string, curves.
TESTIMONY
I documented an ADVENTURE !
Dad loved to restore antique bikes, and I loved to ride with him.
One of my fave childhood memories is riding on the back of dad's motorbike.
Around sharp corners and climbing steep hills .
It was such fun and so exciting.
thanks for the adventures Dad xoxo

I wanted to achieve a layered grungy LO
with added elements
to mimic the metal parts of the bike .
Tim Holtz / Crackle paint is the perfect medium to create
shiny aged elements .
I truly hope you have time to join in with this case .
solving these CSI cases is both inspiring and intriguing.
I find these cases always evolve my style .
thanks for looking .

  4. Absolutely luurvve grunge & the pops of red look fab! Sorry to be so behind everywhere right now but popping in to show some early (it is in UK) morning enthusiasm! The use of string wrapped around part of circle, bulldog clip & other embellies ~ spot on, all making most of brilliant photo. A great memory to have! C

  17. Oh my this is spectacular and what a childhood memory to have. I have a 'thing' for bikes and it comes with a hot, bad, biker boy all the better ;) Seriously though this is magnificent and that photo is just gorgeous. Love the kind of grungy feel to it. Perfectly solved Heather.
My dad used to restore vintage cars. Bought as wrecks and lovingly restored to their former glory and he would find original parts from all over the world. I remember going on many vintage car runs with him and my mom. My favourite ones were the ones where they would all dress up in the costumes of the time. So glamourous. Thanks for triggering this memory. <3

  19. Love the photo , with the contrast of chrome and red and think the way you have brought in the red in your layout is so skillful. Very clever the way you have used the mechanical embellishments . not sure if its my imagination but I see a sprocket and a lever ! ( you can tell my hubby is a mechanic!) As always a lovely story and an inspiring layout
