below is my rustic layout showcasing the divine chippies .
JOURNEY – Destination Unknown
My beautiful and talented friend
Linda Eggleton very kindly gave me permission
to use this magnificent photo she took of an old Rustic Railway line.
Thanks so much Linda , lucky, lucky me .
I knew immediately which chippies I would use
and I feel this Kaiser Base Coat Collection
is a perfect marriage with Linda's divine pic.
I decided to go with the Rustic feel throughout the layout ,
using ink and texture paste to grunge/rust up my metal elements and chipboard.
The chipboard
I love to cut the chipboard into sections.
This achieves two things :
the chipboard goes further
and also makes it unique to you/ the artist .
Securing it around the edge of the matted photo, layering in clusters with other elements.
Ink with Tim Holtz rusty Hinge distress ink, applied with a sponge
When dry add random soft dabs of black to create an aged look and feel .
The metal Key and Filigree
Brush with texture paste .
Allow to dry
Dab on Rusty Hinge ink with a sponge
Add tiny dabs of black versa color ink to the edges.
Layer these elements creating dimension and texture.
When the layout was complete I brushed the chipboard and metal elements
with two very thin coats of satin clear finish /JoSonya .
