journal about a relationship.. I chose my darling, special daughter Tara.

I wrote my journaling on tags tied with ribbons

I created a pocket to hold my journal tags 

I find this a fabulous way to include lots of journaling without clutter .

"LOVE" in Meg's Garden

THIS VINTAGE PHOTO matched perfectly with 

MEG'S GARDEN ... Forget-me-nots papers 

Wow, I had such fun creating this page .. I used the beautiful “ Birds in Forget me Nots” paper range,
  THIS PAGE  FLOWED TOGETHER BEAUTIFULLY and VERY EASILY ,
 ( love it when that happens )
 the papers are just delightful to work with, and adding a touch of “ rust”  just makes it pop !!! these are Perfect papers  for a vintage page with fussy cutting and distressed edges -  After fussy cutting the flowers I lightly inked the edges with black Versa color ink, just to add definition… I inked the chipboard with Versa color  ‘Polar blue’

My handy tip  # layering the papers and adding a light touch of ink on the edges creates texture and   dimension, giving depth to the page.

Items used ..copper  Paper leaves , Birds in Forget Me  Nots collection  , laser cut chipboard ..

white cardstock, Kaiser cardstock, Kaiser paper ( clocks)Tim Holtz  distress ink, Brads (Bella.)

when I saw the palette this week I knew red was the background for me

OUAS CHALLENGE FOR MAY is all about Mother .

here is my take .. "ME AND YOU"

Theme: Mum

We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "Mum" however you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch.

Ideas for journalling: you as a mother, your role as a working/stay-at-home mum, sacrifices/benefits of being a mum, one day in your life as a mum, how your life has changed since being a mum, a tribute to your own mum, grandmother, guardian or someone you consider as close as your mum, your relationship with your mum or your daughter, one trait you have take from your mum, your desire to be a mum, your feelings on motherhood, what does it mean to be a mum?, what kind of mum do you want to be? , Mother's Day celebrations/traditions, your favourite Mother's Day gift given/receive etc..

I created this fabric flower from calico and fabric scraps.

the challenge is to create a project or LO using a recycled envelope

"JUST YOU"

this pic was taken a few years ago on Dakota's 8th birthday .. 2005

 I used an old envelope and lined it with Prima paper..and added hidden journaling inside .

I Journaled in a diary entry form and the top 10 about my darling grand daughter Ella Jai xox

my journaling 

I overlapped two frames..
 the top circular frame is painted with white gesso

the decorative frame underneath has..
 texture paste applied first and when dry swipe ink randomly .
