BEACH BABE

I AM VERY EXCITED.... one of my layouts is on the "Kraft it up" blog.
the challenge was to use "KRAFT"paper and four or more photos.
I always find it a challenge to use more than 2 photos. ?????
these shots are of Ella at "the kingston park beach"
I used glimmermist and a mask... added a few embellishments and cut out some text paper as a matt for the photos.

SCHOOL DAYS

sorting through some old photos and came across some old SCHOOL SHOTS...thought I would share this with you.....AND GIVE YOU A BIT OF A GIGGLE???!!!
it was back in 1955 and my twin sister Lorraine and I are sitting in the front row.
we were in our first year of school... and I must say school wasn't my favourite place.

little blondes aren't we ???? our hair was quite white right up till the age of 12 ... then it began to darken
now I have some help .... thank goodness for colour these days.

ALL DAY SCRAP

My project for the all day scrap ON JULY 31ST is ... wait for it ????
a mini book ..... what else would I do..???? Ha Ha !!??
this mini book can be used as a card with messages and photos added or you may wish to create it as a little treasure to keep ..
I have used beautiful K & Co paper... there will be a selection of designs.
IT IS GOING TO BE FUN, FUN, FUN WITH A CAPITAL F...
each year it gets better and better. great venue too.
Well done Jane and the girls for all your hard work and organisation skills.

Layouts with "STITCHING"

I had great fun creating these layouts using some hand and machine stitching.
I rather like the effect ... and I feel it creates another dimension.
next week I am going to have a play with fabric and paint whoo hooo !!??
mixed media..... just love it !!!




here I used a white wash on text paper ... it completely changed the look of the page.

African faces

Recently a friend returned home from a trip to AFRICA...
SHE GAVE ME THESE PHOTOS SHE SHOT WHILE HOLIDAYING OVER THERE.
"life is so hard for these children..."
I felt extremely emotional while scrapping this page.
we must be grateful for our life and all the opportunities we receive here in Australia.
