It is not often I create a layout on myself
so this month I thought why not ??
I love creating art journals, and have been journaling for as long as I can remember .
What great fun I have reading some of my early journals.
Writing thoughts and feelings is a perfect way of showing myself
how I have grown and evolved over the years, recording the fun times and the challenging times.
Remembering all of my journey through life.
On this LO I have created a pocket containing a tag
with personal notes to myself .
just another Form of
 ART JOURNALING.

NOTES TO MYSELF.

I love to trim my chipboard and tuck it under my photo and layer with papers.
my technique with the Dusty Attic paint is ...

Polaroid frames : DA0932
Leafy Border : DA0577
 Film strip : DA0934

TESTIMONY
for my testimony I had a go at Free writing
When I was a kid .....
I remember being fascinated by old vintage furniture.
A family friend, would lovingly take "tired old" chairs
and repair/turn them into charming pieces of unique dreamy furniture.
Filled with sumptuous fillings of feather/down and covered with rich velvety fabrics.
They were so comfy and soft as well as stunning specimens of vintage charm ..
I REMEMBER ... his hands were truly dripping with magical energy .

thanks for poppin by and I hope you are inspired to have a go at solving this case .

lots of layering again and it is so easy with Maja Design papers

creating a magical symphony of textures. .

combining blooms, metal, bling brad, and washi tape all add to the story of my work .
I love to tuck elements under my photo and layers, adding interest and intrigue.

More yummo layering, with strands of cotton randomly placed among the layers,
adding the perfect finishing touch .

A little late solving case #112

Hi everyone, I am here at last with case file #112
a little late, but better late than never I say !!!

Case file #112

'HOLIDAY'

I struggled with the deep teal , but managed to pop a tiny strip along the right hand side .. sigh x
the brads are the lighter blue.
I love blue but sometimes it proves difficult on a layout
as there are so many different hues in blues and greens .
Nothing quite like a challenge though .....he he he  !!!

Evidence
Patterned background, frame, flower, floral pattern, heart buttons .
Testimony
One Easter we travelled to Byron Bay
by car, for the Blues and Roots Festival .
wow what an amazing holiday .
We arrived the week before the Festival
Spending the days exploring the
stunning beaches and surrounding areas .
So much to discover and breathe into my soul .
Lots of walks and delightful sights.
We soaked in all the glorious sounds of the festival
and had the best time … loved every minute.
A wonderful memory I hold close to my heart xoxo

Until next time , have fun and happy scrapping.

Birthday Tag for my Man

GOING GRUNGE THIS MONTH
Hello and a warm welcome to My Blog
Today I am sharing my March project for
This month I thought I would create a steampunk / grungy masculine Tag
for my man on his birthday .

Birthday/Valentine Tag

Megs garden papers :
Top Hat & an Automobile
P6355
Take a Roadster for a Spin
P6357
These papers are perfect  for anything masculine .
I feel the little pop of red is a smashing idea, creating contrast to the darkness of the earthy browns
Red is the color of love, so I thought,  with Baden's birthday coming up ,
what better than to create a tag , as an expression of my love .
I covered a tiny heart shape in these papers and tied it with string .

I fussy cut the clock and light bulb and stacked them securing them with a brad .

Some close ups of the details.
I love the look of stacked images and I added some pieces of inked chipboard .

I  feel a tag is in-complete without creating on the back side .
Here is an image of how I  decorated the back with these stunning papers.
I combined this with Baden's Birthday and Valentines day ..
" you are my world and you make my life so amazing in so many ways,
I love you with all my heart and soul !
Happy happy Birthday my darling xoxox "

I added one of my fave Quotes,
( by Mother Teresa )

LIFE
' Is not measured
by the number of breaths we take
but by the number of moments that take
our breath away.'

and my words .....
"Happy Birthday my darling
You are my soul mate, my Valentine, you are my everything .
I love you with all my heart and soul xoxo"

Thanks for looking everyone,
Until next time, take care and happy scrapping x
