BIRD IS THE WORD CHALLENGE

Another challenge..this time the word is SHINE ...

PASTEL COLOURS

haven't posted for a few days as I injured my back and have been helping the healing process with acupuncture and chiro treatment ... soooo much better ... almost healed thank goodness.
thanks to all of you who wished me well ... wonderful to know so many care xo
it really means a great deal to me ...

now to the page .. it's a rare occasion I use pastel colours on a LO..sooooo thought I would give a shot.
I feel these pics of Ella (when she was 4) are simply gorgeous and she was wearing pink and aqua bathers so I chose to bring out these colours on the page.
quite surprised myself with the result...

KIU JANUARY CHALLENGE

This month the challenge was to do a LO using a title with a summer word ..
I chose to use the word summer (because I had the alphas.. LOL )

I also decided to go a little "shabby chic" but I am not that happy with the end result for some reason or other, it didn't go together as well as some others ... but I thought I would post it anyway !!!???

"MONOCHROMATIC THEME"

sometimes I rather like to use a monochromatic theme .... so I've been working on this page using different shades of deep purple to light mauve with a little black thrown in for good measure.
a friend of mine took this photo of her bling !!!! rather gorgeous I thought .

I printed the pic onto cardstock which I often do as I feel it creates a beautiful warm, soft glow to the page.

BIRD IS THE WORD CHALLENGE

my first time entering this challenge, thought I would give it a go !!!

This is a challenge site where a different word is set each fortnight to use on a layout.

BELIEVE is the word..
I used it as the beginning of some journaling

"BELIEVE" in the magic of spring
spring brings blossom and reminds me
that I live where miracles are common place.
Nature is a true masterpiece.

AS I HAVE A PASSION FOR NATURE AND GARDENING I've been wanting to use this photo for awhile, taken last spring as the blossoms were just beginning to bud..
NATURE IS SOOOOO SPECTACULAR!!
