KIU OCTOBER CHALLENGE

I started with monochromatic which developed into shabby chic/vintage .. LOL !!

UNUSUAL FOR ME

I made this LO very simple to allow the pics to dominate

I used book paper and paint and a little hand-stitching.

we had a great day at the Noarlunga beach

back in 2008, Ella was 5 years old ...very cute !!!

ONCE UPON A ... SKETCH

The challenge for 15th October 

Journalling criteria: A most embarrassing/awkward/uncomfortable moment. Journal at least 2 SENTENCES on a moment that you will remember for all the wrong reasons. Examples: something you said/did, something your child said, something your pet did etc. 

You must combine our journalling criteria with this sketch. 

I have used the IMAGINARIUM CHIPPIES .

the alphas and the delicate flourish.

my journaling .. and believe me I was "BRIGHT RED" with embarrassment !!!!!!

I might add I was very lucky as they let me buy a new bottle without charging me

 for the shattered one ... gotta be lucky sometimes ????

I love making these rustic handmade flowers !!

ALL  GROWN UP !!!!!

this was THE PERFECT TITLE for Ella in this pic 

she slept over night at our home

 and we went out for brekie the next morning

she decided to put some lipstick on when I was applying mine

I WAS CHOSEN ONE OF THE TOP 3 !!! WOOHOO !! 

big congrats to Tracey, and Amy and Sandi , beautiful work girls ....

recently over at LESSology there was a challenge to alter some packaging
and create a TRINKET BOX .
I chose to alter a box which originally held a watch.
"I was lucky enough to be chosen one of the top three.."

I loved the challenge so much I decided to alter another piece of packaging
CAN YOU GUESS WHAT IT IS ???
I was inspired by my beautiful friend SANDI

can you guess what this is ???
AN ALTERED TOOTHPASTE PACKET !!!!

the chippy butterfly is from IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS
hand made flowers inked in Celadon 

I was quite pleased with the shabby, rustic feel to the end result. 

I ended up adding a completely new lid as the original one tore

as i was covering it, but this one was much stronger as it is made of cardstock

and patterned paper ... what do you think ???

"SATURDAY CLASS"

I AM TEACHING ANOTHER MINI BOOK ON SATURDAY .

8TH OCTOBER.

I have used the delightful Jenni Bowlin papers

the book contains lots of pockets for tags and journaling 

and plenty of room for photos  .

"SCRAP FOR HELP" - October challenge

over at SCRAP FOR HELP it is all about using recycled "stuff" !!

for the month of October we had to create A PROJECT connected with CHILDREN 

and use something recycled ...

 I used a Graphic45 TAG ..

these are just sooooooooooo fabulous to add to any project .

here is my recycled tag.
I just added some TIM HOLTZ TISSUE TAPE,
 popped it under the patterned paper,
 created a cluster of tickets around it and I was done !!!
so EASY and costs NOTHING !!!
