IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS

Combining Imaginarium Designs with Crafters Workshop mask 

works a treat !!

so many techniques on this page ....

chipboard/paint splatters/ stamping /distressing /inking/ masking/ stitching/ punching ..

 2 pages showcasing the

 IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS CHIPBOARD 

and different ways to use the chicken wire mask (Crafters workshop )

I inked the chippies in raspberry Versa color ink and then embossed with clear UTEE

Raspberry ink was also used with the mask ..

I prefer using ink as this gives more control with depth of color 

PROCESS for MASK.

place mask where you want to ink

Dab lightly with ink at first , 

( lifting the mask carefully to see depth of color)

replace the mask and  re-apply ink over the sections again where you want the ink darker .. 

a similar process to water color inks 

begin lighter and gradually add more ink to create darker areas ... easy peasy !!!!

I left the stems of the foliage raw to create definition .

I cut this title and only used happiness .

here is my take on the challenge 

'I AM WOMAN '

EVIDENCE

lots of sparkles, kaisercraft sparklets and  shiny brads

stacked elements .. lots of layers

the photo is a recycled card

which reminded me of the times my twin sister and our girlfriends would dress up when we were kids .

TESTIMONY 

I used the words sweet and sing in my journaling

and I journaled about this memory

the song title is 'I AM WOMAN' by Helen Reddy

 a dramatic color palette this week 

I created a very simple page to compliment the colors.

I decided to go bold and allow the red and black to dominate 

I created this fabric flower using muslin and a soft fabric flower adding a black kaiser blossom in the center.

simple but effective !!!!!

WHITE WITH ONE

a fun challenge this month 

WHITE+GREY+ TAGS/TABS

it is much easier than it looks , I found lots of grey in my stash.

I also found this awesome postcard and it was just perfect for this challenge

to me it looks like you could step right into the street and go back in 'TIME' 

I chose to hang my tags in a cluster

using different shapes and sizes.

Here is my take on case file #14

I used a metal filigree ( altered with gesso and ink.. details below)

 above is the antique bronze filigree before I altered it

PROCESS 

swipe with white gesso and dry with a heat gun 

lightly dab with VersaMagic chalk ink - Pumpkin spice and Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy... 

if you have too much ink dab with a dry tissue or a damp cloth

keep doing this process until you achieve the desired color ..

 experiment with different colors it is FUN .

I used some wooden and metal buttons and 'grunged' them up a little with paint and gesso

and tied them up with cotton thread .. 

 more layering here with a star and circles .
