GUEST DESIGNING AT GREEN TARA

I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey .

here I am again to show you what I have been doing with some Green Tara goodies.

'JUST YOU'

One of my very fave colour combos is RED/WHITE/BLACK

I love to layer the papers behind the photo to draw the eye towards the focal point and create mystery, sometimes only small sections of paper are seen, ( less is more ), but without that tiny piece the entire page can loose that important colour or design …

just by adding tiny pieces of colour eg stamps /paper /fabric/ can be just what the page is needing.

Try experimenting with this idea and you will be surprised to see how different the layout looks by adding or removing tiny pieces. Always move elements around the page until you are happy. Sometimes by adding a coloured brad, fills a tiny corner or edge to complete the page perfectly.

I have created two clusters of flowers here on opposing corners …

combining the red/black/white together.

The flowers are poked under the layers adding dimension and interest .

I have altered the large black Heirloom silk & organza flower

by separating the petals and just leaving myself with a smaller flower and the remaining sections of the flower will be used on another project, at a later time.

CASE FILE # 29 - SUMMER DELIGHT

A Bright and sunny palette

EVIDENCE

a summer story.. On this very hot Summer's day we were having a celebration birthday lunch in honour of Mark.

You were really enjoying this delicious COLD DRINK !! "Ahhh that's better a nice cold drink just what I needed" , you said.

CASE FILE #28 - " LOVE "

when I saw this photo on Tumblr I thought yes !!!! it is perfect for this palette ..

EVIDENCE

circles, metal, repeated elements ( the word LOVE ).. ink/paint, dry embossing, tone on tone pattern paper .

TESTIMONY

if allowed to dominate, greed and technology can devastate life and living, profound messages for all of us. These beautiful people know exactly what LOVE really is ... love/family/friendship.. and simple pleasures.

CASE FILE # 27 - 'POST CARD'

love this photo I took at Botanical Gardens in Adelaide ... this ancient arbor fascinates me with it's beauty .

I wrote about the Botanical gardens, included words--wonderful-natural.. included a photo of an arch.

Adelaide Botanical Gardens.
A magnificent natural arbour, formed by nature and lovingly moulded into shape. This is a place of great serenity! Subtle shadows and light casting a calming effect on the soul are all ingredients for casting the spell .

Garden of EARTHLY DELIGHTS

Happiness for me designing with papers from

MEGS GARDEN

'HAPPINESS'

My title ‘Happiness’ expresses how I feel when surrounded by nature, flowers and my garden. From a very early age I discovered that through solitude, information was received and truths spoken.

The magic I feel when working in my garden is so real .

The ‘Gifts of growth’, soothe my soul.

For this layout I decided to use the beautiful red/pink charm of Anne-Le belle Jardin collection P6297 I wanted to showcase the papers to demonstrate how Meg’s papers can also be used to create a layout without lots of fussy cutting . The birdcage and 1 flower, are the only fussy cutting on this page, with the remaining paper being cut into strips and edged with borderpunches.

I grow both red and pink flowers and this collection reminded me of my passion for nature . I used a combination of this beautiful collection with a strip of The Antionette Collection Scroll Rose Delight 3381. The paper doilies look so delicate and soft against the strong colors of the paper along with the contrast of the white cardstock .

I created some funky flowers with the Tim Holtz die cuts and added some Kaiser black sparklets and blossoms .. I just adore the velvet flowers from Meg’s they add such richness and texture to a page. I chopped the flourish into pieces/ inked in black and arranged around my photo

More designing for GREEN TARA

designing with the beautiful Green Tara products is a dream

I created this TAG IN A POCKET to demonstrate how versatile

these products are

I used the bronze leaves and the ivory roses.

it's always handy to have a card on hand for the unexpected !!

and these flowers are the perfect embellishment !

the LEAVES are wired enabling me to bend and twist them in whatever direction I desire .

the ROSES come in all colors and sizes.

below is another layout I created recently using the delightful roses again and the large poppy flower

this divine background paper is 7Dots paper created by the fabulous Finnabair from Poland

With this background I wanted my layout to be simple so I have just used

strips of paper and lace and the clusters of Green Tara Flowers.

Guest designing at GREEN TARA

I was totally thrilled and surprised to receive such a generous, beautiful big box full of goodies for me to play with, pure delight.

'Cousins'

I like to use flowers in clusters .. sometimes just poking out from under some layered papers.

Here I have used a small cluster of 2 flowers and a bling element on the left side of the photo.

I've repeated a larger cluster of black and ivory Roses mixed with white Cherry Blossoms

and a Flower Spray.

Another small cluster is mixed with other elements on the bottom right side of the page .

I adore these new Lillies and found them delightful to work with
