GOING GRUNGE with 7 GYPSIES

I was so thrilled and honoured when beautiful Georgia Heald invited me to be a

 GUEST DESIGNER

I've been playing and creating a couple of layouts 

my first layout is a MASCULINE page with a  touch of GRUNGE.

I just adore that zipper. I altered it with gesso and ink.

DAILY JOURNAL 

my gratitude journal is most important to me

I enter at least 10 things I am grateful for every day

DAILY ROUTINE.

each day I like to spend some time surrounded by the beauty of nature.

the fresh smell in my garden is difficult to describe as it comes alive, stirring my SOUL .

I have kept journals and meditated at least once every day since I was 12 years of age 

I love to read about my life and feelings from years ago, it is a fabulous record of my life , 

and how I have evolved over the years . 

Writing and meditation breathe life into my soul.

' HAPPINESS ' 

Miss E and Miss D were flower girls in a wedding a couple of years ago

and their headbands match the GREEN TARA burgundy flowers perfectly .

   

This is the first time I have used these delightful small colourful flowers…
They are perfect for creating a burst of color in a cluster
 and I have complemented them with the burgundy roses, rosbuds and velvet leaves .
 Centre stage goes to the magnificent Burgundy Fabric / Damask Organza bloom …

These beautiful flowers complete a layout with such FLAIR .

Song title - Everybody Dance Now ... love my memories of dance as a child. 

Lorraine and I learned dance for almost 10 years 

 Dance created the perfect adventure for me. 

We both loved to dance and we would have the music blaring !!

 the louder the better.

 Wearing all the beautiful whimsical clothes was just dreamy.

 I was in another world ..

Hi there everyone, 

 I  created a card containing affirmations and tags for my September DT project for

MEG'S GARDEN .

THE BRAND NEW 'SPRING PAISLEY'  COLLECTION designed by DENISE .

' LOVE '

I am a lover of positive affirmations and quotes.

I decided to create a small card for myself  which holds tags and envelopes with affirmations .

Creating OTP items has always been a fave of mine since I began scrapbooking back in 2003 .

This card/booklet  sits in my art area where I can glance at the affirmations about art and admire the beautiful papers from Meg’s garden while I work.

'DREAMING OF PARIS'

HI everyone today is my turn on 

IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS

Today I am showcasing a soft feminine page without using white cardstock , very unusual for me !!

I love my white backgrounds .

'YOU' 

 I covered the chipboard with white gesso first ,

 when dry I applied Dew Drop BRILLIANCE ink – CHOCOLATE.

I was pretty happy with the FINAL COLOR .

I cut the decorative top section from the frame

  ( The remainder of the frame to be used on another project  later )

My handy tip

I find by covering the chipboard with white gesso first, allows the ink to become more translucent .

4 butterflies on board IDT0014

The butterflies are painted with white gesso first 

and dabbed with raspberry versa color ink on edges of wings .

  I layered the butterflies to create dimension and secured with a brad.

The dressform is simply inked with raspberry versa color. 

The Eiffel Tower is painted with white gesso .

Summer watering..

 always my little helper in the garden. 

we spent so much time together

 and you loved to water my garden in the summer( before the restrictions) 

 So beautiful watching you in a world of your own.

My heart sings when I am with you .....

my handy tip 

sometimes when I am completing the case I find one of the colors difficult to fit in ??

so my answer is to add a small amount of that color to my page

 in the form of a brad, stitching, ink or similar .

here I used a metal staple and a small blue brad ---
