playing with ink !!!!

over at THE COLOR ROOM this week

is a beautiful monochromatic theme in earthy tones

I decided to have a play with some ink splashes 

and texture paste on metal

I adore the look of altered metal objects on pages 

this page was lots of fun 

I got all messy .. just like a kid ... woohoo !!

 November challenge over at Berry71Bleu 

Now, for the challenge for this month: Courtesy of our new team member Renea.

 She is hosting this month's challenge. 

Here are the requirements for the challenge:

"Hi everybody and welcome to my November Challenge, as you can see I took the word November and came up with the rules to play along by. Your project can be any type of project you dream up as long as it meets all of the rules listed. I will be giving away a small rack from my Etsy Shop. The winner will receive, one set of Tiger Butterflies, one set of Sugar & Spice Butterflies, and one set of Elegance In Flight Butterflies. Good Luck!"

New -Do a project type that you have never done before or use a new technique

One -Use at least one fall flower 

Variation -Use at least 2 different variations of the fall colors

Emboss-emboss an element on your project

Metal -Use a metal embellishment 

Butterfly -Use at least one butterfly

Eleven -Use eleven of an element or embellishment (example: layers of pp)

Kraft IT UP !!

over at KRAFT IT UP this month the challenge is all about 

JOURNALING ..

finding inspiring and creative ways to journal 

my journaling is perched in the top left corner with overlapping

circles and the word love .. 

I used olive glimmer mist and a mask to create the background on kraft paper

the journaling reads -- 

As long as we have memories, yesterday remains,

as long as we have HOPE, tomorrow awaits,

as long as we have "ART" today is beautiful !!!!

I fell in love with this quote and felt it was perfect for this page

THE COLOR ROOM #82

over at the COLOR ROOM I uploaded 2 pages this week

one is simple and the other is beyond simple

the additions...

more chipboard, more muslin, stamping, brads and I moved the butterfly

I find it interesting making additions to a page and seeing the difference

what do you think ??

do you like the more simple page or with the additions ????

my preference is the second page with additions ...

the criteria this month is
 WHITE/BRIGHTS/FLOWERS

this is my take on it ...

generally I don't use brights so this was challenging ..

I used the awesome IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS CHIPPIES
the dress form, title and the frame which I turned on its side ..

where we use upcycled or re-cycled items on our work 

this month the criteria is to create a XMAS inspired LO or project.

it does not look very much like xmas I know

 but I'm wishing for some new clothes for xmas...

 that's the idea .. LOL

I chose to recycle a "FRENCH CLOTHING TAG"

and to keep the theme  going I used a photo of FRENCH CLOTHING

there is also a paper bag and some corrugated board in there too.

if you look closely you may see the paper bag poking out above the tag 

I used a border punch along the edge and added some PP .

I love this TAG ..

there is also some old tissue dressmaking paper included here .
